Kuhli Loaches are excellent cleaning fish, and they can feed on algae at the bottom of the tank, preferably growing on a gravel substrate. Besides algae, kuhli loaches eat pellets, bloodworms, and brine shrimp.

Kuhli loach, scientifically named Pangio kuhlii, belongs to the Cobitidae family. This elongated snake-like fish has a black, silver, pink, and brown body and a size of about 2.75 to 4 inches. This vertebrate animal has a sociable, calm, and curious personality with high energy. In addition, this fish from Indonesian waters can survive up to 10 years of age.
